Pforzheim – June 09, 2015 – PROVERTHA expands its portfolio on robust an easy to configure full-metal hoods. The new full-metal hood from the series 104 with the proven Quick-Lock latching system is now available with an internal cable clamp – that way, the cable can be connected faster and easier.

All Quick-Lock full-metal hoods are characterized by the groundbreaking and already tried-and-tested Quick-Lock latching system. The advantages of this system include the fast and easy one-hand operation and the safe locking. The safe locking process is supported by an acoustic and tactile feedback. This reliable latching also guarantees the highest retention force.  Compared to conventional screw locking the assembly is significantly faster.

PROVERTHA’s full-metal hoods qualify themselves by their extremely high mechanical robustness – even when used in very rough environments. They are particularly easy to assemble due to the accessible design and the pre-cut threads. Additionally, the full-metal hoods reach an optimal HF-density based on their 360° EMI/RFI shielding system with crimp flange or crimp sleeve usable.

Thanks to its innovative push-pull locking the Quick-Lock system provides an easy and fast locking of D-Sub connectors with device interfaces in addition to cable connections.

Using the Quick-Lock hood D-Sub cable assemblies can be easily mounted and locked in space restricted areas. The secure locking is singed with an acoustic “click”.

The D-Sub full-metal hoods are available with assembly lengths of 42 mm. PROVERTHA offers the robust full-metal hoods with 9, 15, 25, 37 and 50 pins.
