PROVERTHA develops and produces special connectors for the automotive industry

The independent business unit PROVERTHA Automotive Solutions focuses on the interests of the automotive industry. It develops and produces own components and assembly units for system providers of car manufacturers with core competencies in the production of connectors, assembly units in the area of plastics technology and complex cable assemblies. For these products, PROVERTHA offers a highly efficient serial production in the best possible quality.

As an example, PROVERTHA delivers interface connectors for electrical car control units. The challenge here is the precise contact assembly to allow overmoulding. In collaboration with the customer, a die-cast material for this application and contacts with very low tolerance deviation were determined. The connector design grants a non-deforming component.

For another application, PROVERTHA realized a connecting cable for exhaust sensors. These interface connectors for sensor attachment in cars required customer-specific component geometry with various coding possibilities and colors, resulting in a complete new construction and development of a connector range according to customer guidelines.

Car gear sensors for instance called for a 3-pole overmoulded connector with 180° solder pins. PROVERTHA accepted the task to develop and produce a component with small connector geometry, extended contact length and compliance to PCB hole tolerances for secure solder process.

In-house moulding technology, mould tool design and production, component development and core competency in connectors enable PROVERTHA to realize sophisticated connectivity solutions for the automotive industry at short notice.
