Patented multi-point locking system in a nickel-plated D-Sub full metal hood
Slide lock
For use at interfaces where the slide lock is used for repeated mating and difficult installation situations, the slide lock version is the right solution. In this version, the guide bar for the D-Sub metal housing of the screw lock version is omitted to ensure that the slide locking plate lies flat. This version also has a UNC or M3 insert nut for screwing on the slide locking plate. This version is also suitable for rear panel installation on e.g. control cabinet doors.
Standard screw lock
For classic device interfaces with UNC or M3 threads the version with the combined slot screw UNC or M3 is the right choice. The combined slot offers the operator the choice between a slotted screwdriver size 1 or a Phillips screwdriver PZ1.
On request, a solution with an allen screw and spring washer as a vibration-proof screw lock and for difficult installation situations is also available for large serial volumes.
Quick Lock (Push Pull)
The innovative tool-free quick connection in seconds enables the innovative push-pull locking Quick Lock. The audible click when latching guarantees secure locking.
The Quick Lock solution can also be easily retrofitted to existing device interfaces by screwing in QL ratchet pin sets in a suitable version for almost every application, such as front panel mounted threaded bolts as well as rear panel mounting with thread or for mounting on both sides of a control cabinet door or “flying“ cable-to-cable connections that can be mated, locked, unmated and dislocked in seconds.
“Flying“ cable-to-cable connection
For devices with an already assembled cable with a D-Sub hood, there is a version for the „flying“ cable-to-cable connection available for the connection of incoming D-Sub cable. This version has an insert nut UNC or M3 and a guide bar for connecting the D-Sub hood on the device side with a UNC or M3 locking screw for secure guidance of the D-Sub metal housing.
The use of the Quick Lock system is recommended for repeated plugging for a “flying“ cable-to-cable connection.
The retaining spring made of spring steel guarantees functional reliability thanks to the break-proof design made of metal with the special spring properties and the secure vibration- and shock-proof snap locking of the upper half-shell (lid) in the lower half-shell (housing).
The design of the FLEXLOCK full metal hood in die-cast zinc reliably protects against mechanical damage in robust applications. The secure anchoring of both the combined slot screws in the version with screw locking and the locking spring in the Quick Lock version in combination with the secure housing locking achieved by the full metal retaining spring makes the FLEXLOCK D-Sub hoods ideal for applications with the highest mechanical and/or dynamic requirements in the railway industry, industrial automation and robot applications.
The design of the FLEXLOCK full metal hood with overlapping contours as well as the full metal cable reduction parts in die-cast zinc achieve 360° shielding for the harnessed cable, thanks to the completely closed metal housing without openings and guarantee high shielding attenuation values for demanding EMC applications.
